Tour of Villa Garzoni in COLLODI - The Park of Pinocchio
The first written record about Villa Garzoni dates back to 1633. It took one hundred and seventy years to build. The European fame of the villa is mostly due to its wonderful baroque garden. It looks like marvellous theatre filled with water fountains and ponds and has always been envied by princes and kings. The villa can be compared to the other great European gardens like Fontainbleau, Saint Claud and Postdam because they all have the rigorous geometrical structures and statues which represents legendary figures.
This visit could be combined with Pinocchio's park (amazing place for children) and with the visit of Lucca and the visit of Villas near Lucca which are only 10 km distance from Villa Garzoni.
