Pienza is a Renaissance jewel of the Val d’Orcia. It is a town rich of artistic and natural treasures, a loved destination for all tourists. We’ll stroll long the old Pope Pio’s square and the Piccolomini palace with its big panoramic garden. Masterpiece of Bernardo Rossellino, this is the most important building of Pienza. It represents a copy of Rucellai Palace in Florence.
Pienza is also a town with ancient cooking traditions, in fact there are many typical products as the cheese of this area called “ pecorino”. We’ll taste the pecorino and after free lunch, we will discover the Noble Wine of Montepulciano. There will be a visit of one of the historical cellars and guided Chianti wine tasting.
